For the Cake
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter or Shortening
- 1 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Buttermilk or make it (add 1tbsp white vinegar to 1 cup of Fresh milk and stand for 30mins)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp White Vinegar
For the Frosting
- 2 cups Unsalted Butter
- 2 cups of Cream Cheese
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 3 cups Icing Sugar

Make the Cake
- Cream the Shortening and the Sugar till it is well blended
- Break the Eggs and add to the mixture
- Make a paste out of Cocoa Powder and Red Food Colour
- Add the paste to the batter and mix properly
- Add the Salt to the Flour
- Add the Flour to the batter alternating with the Buttermilk
- Mix Baking Soda and the Vinegar and Stir properly
- Add the Soda and Vinegar mixture to the batter and Mix
Make the Frosting
- Use an electric mixer to cream the butter until it is light and fluffy
- Add the cream cheese and mix until the butter and cream cheese are well combined
- Add Icing sugar and mix some more
- Add the vanilla flavour and mix well
- Spread on the Cake
